The Committee consist of seven (7) members and two alternates, each serving staggered four-year terms. The Committee shall meet every other month on the second Wednesday of the month, at 6:00 pm at City Hall in the Community Room. The Committee shall comply with the Brown Act and the Fair Political Practices Act.


The following are the criteria and scope of the Fairview Park Steering Committee:

  • Provide advice to the City Council regarding the implementation of the Fairview Park Master Plan
  • Provide advice to the City Council regarding the impacts of Measure AA on Capital Improvement Program projects, maintenance and activities
  • Present on annual report to the City Council describing the progress that has been made on implementation of the Fairview Park Master Plan and its accompanying Measure AA
  • Recommend approval of grant applications, partnerships and volunteer activities for the maintenance and implementation of the Fairview Park Master Plan
  • Develop a comprehensive Interpretive, Guide and Regulatory Sign program that addresses cultural and biological resources as well as its history
